Robert Davis Obituary

Davis, Robert J. "Bob" Passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, Saturday, April 7, 2012. Age 85 years. Survived by his wife of 62 years Alloa Davis (nee Ingram), five children James (Renee) Davis, Lori Andrejek, Scott Davis, Ted Davis and Shari Shimkus. Twelve grandchildren MaryBeth, Clare, John, Tom, Annalee and Alex Andrejek, Christine, Elizabeth, Michael, Genevieve, Robert and Therese Shimkus. Five great-grandchildren Logan, Ronnie, Evan, Dillon and Ella. Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Veronica Davis, a brother Thomas Davis and a sister Mary Turner. Bob retired from People's Gas and Electric Co. Member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army. Bob enjoyed golfing and camping with his family. Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Friday, April 13 at 9:30 A.M. to St. Jude Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 9:00 P.M.
