Dear Mrs. Allard and family,
I have not known Bob for very long, as you know. I try hard not to get attached to my patients. But there was something very special about you, Mary Jane, and Bob. All the little "small world" connections that we had..... I couldn't believe all the connections we had. I was a little nervous that I wouldn't live up to Bob's expectations of a good therapist. But I was so touched when he said how much he looked forward to my visits. I was really looking forward to coming back and working with him. I know in my heart that Bob is at peace.... there is just a selfish regret that I didn't get to see him just ONE more time.
I cannot begin to imagine what you and your family are feeling, Mary Jane. My prayers are going to be with you for a long time. The "unselfish" part of me is happy that Bob is at peace, and I believe firmly that he is! It was tough to watch him struggle to breathe. I know he had a great life, and did many wonderful things for many people. He will not be forgotten by many.... and I will never forget my enjoyable time at your house, working with Bob and getting to know you. Call if you need anything, anytime...
Love, Maureen Jones
