Agron, Robert C. age 94, of Nippersink, WI, formerly of Chicago, prominent tax accountant; beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Rubin); loving father of Joyce (Marvin) Benjoya and Merle (late Robert) Raz; adored Papa of Marc (Jean), Ross (Merle) and Garry (Lois) Benjoya, Todd (Nancy), Tracy and Steven (Heidi) Davis; proud great-grandfather of 11; cherished brother of Shirley (late Solomon) Rosenberg and the late Ruth (late Milton) Goothardt. Service Monday, 2 p.m., at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the charity of your choice. So sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I knew him and Ruth since I was 3 years old. I remember swimming with him at my grandparent's house ("House of Mae and Len") in Nippersink, picking wild berries with him along the back roads, and stopping off for an ice cream bar on my way back from the resort. As an adult I stopped by 3 years ago while working in nearby McHenry - he was still sharp as a tack - giving a thorough description of what had gone on in the neighborhood since I last visited and proudly updating me of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His passing is definitely a loss that will be felt by many.
