Franklin, Rita S. age 68, of Sandwich, IL passed away at her home on Friday, November 6, 2009. She was born July 17, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Adolph and Rita S. (Weber) Veith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Rita also had a special place in her heart for her dog, Peanut. Rita is survived by her children, Betty (Kevin) Gustin, and James A. Franklin Jr., her grandchildren, Cory (fiancee, Lauren Godek) Gustin, and Brittany Gustin, and her great-grandson, Victor Gustin, all of Sandwich, IL. She was preceded by her parents, Adolph and Rita S. Veith; her daughter, Judith Leone Franklin, and her brother, Robert Veith. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South St., in Piano, IL. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Aurora, IL. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Tuesday at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Piano, IL.
