Rick was a good friend of mine and Dave's, my twin brother, when we were in grade school. A great, funny, happy guy always making us laugh. Just very pleasant to be around. I hope every child has a friend like him in grade school. He brightened our days. He was always smiling. It was very nice to see him last year at our reunion. May God rest his soul in peace.

I was very sad to hear about Rick from a classmte {Smyser School Class 1982}. I will always have very fond and unforgetable memories of Rick from grammer school and time spent with Rick at his home with his family when we were kids. My sad regret is that I didn't get to meet up with Rick at our 20 year reuion as adults. We will all miss you and you will never be forgotten.

I think we (Smyser class of 1982) are all shocked to hear of Rick's passing. He was a very big part of this great time in our lives. We may not have been close but he is a part of my heart and always will be.

You weren't just family, you were my friend. We shared many a thought, feeling, view, opinion, stories and more. I have to believe you are in a better place to accept that you are gone. No matter what took place in life, we shared a special bond that I will forever remember. Thanks for the memories! You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I will always be thankful for you being there for me!!
With love,
Your Cousin & Friend
