... on behalf of my employer, a local florist, I delivered many heartfelt arrangements to St. Barnabas Church today. The shear volume of sentiment defied description.
~ may the tremendous, outpouring of support serve to remind you how much your family member was loved and appreciated while in your earthly presence

I was very saddened to hear this. I started trading with "swanny" back in the Mid-Am in 86-87. We both left the floor around 2012 so I knew Richard for many years. Great guy, classy, fun to be around. Never quite knew what he was going to say next. My deepest sympathies to the Swanberg family for your loss.

Our deepest sympathies to the Swanberg family.
I had the great experience of working with "Swanny" in the five year at CBOT. Always quick witted and clever, he was a genuine leader.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.

To the entire Swanberg family, my thoughts and prayers to all of you. Rick will be missed. I met him through my brother Tony 20+ years ago. Rick introduced me to a bunch of EP guys playing rec hockey back then. It's because of Rick that I'm still playing 20+ years later with some of the same guys. I'll miss his straight-faced locker-room humor and quick whit! I won't miss getting in the way of his slapshot. May God rest your soul....

Rita, So-so sorry. This is an incredibly sad and please know that thoughts and prayers go to you and your kids from the Takash family. Always loved Rick and his razor-quick wit. Will not be able to make services as we're out of the country, but you are all in our hearts.

I will always picture Rick with a crowd around him laughing at something he had just said while he maintained a straight face. An incredibly kind, strong, talented and genuine person. He will be deeply missed. My thoughts are with Rita, the kids, and the entire Swanberg family.

As a very good fried of my brothers, Rick spent a lot of time at my house during our high school years at EP. He had a easy laugh, quick wit, and a great sense of humor. I'm certain he will be missed by many.
