He was a good friend to my father later in life, and they both came from the same part of Chicago as kids. My dad told me they did not know each other in Chicago. I met him a few times, he was a nice man. Go with God.

Since our grammar school days in Chicago, Dick Slezak and his family were friends with my family (Svejda and Trenk). When I moved to FL in 1984 we were able to reconnect full time. With him, we sailed my boat in the gulf and made countless trips and travels both overseas and locally over the past 27 years. He was a first class gentleman and loyal buddy who was in our family life on a daily and weekly basis.
We will miss his wry humor and companionship from now on.

I am so saddened. I was to see him this week. I worked for him for 10 years in the summer. He will be missed greatly.
