Rich was a larger than life type of guy. He and my Uncle, the late Fr. Joe, always seemed to have tall tales to tell and tall tales told about them. Because I work in downtown Chicago any time I see guys working on marble I can't help but remember the family tradition that is wrapped around marble setting. Rich's Uncle, my grandfather was also a marble setter along with my late Uncle until he entered the priesthood. My mother, Joan Murray, his cousin always spoke of him with a smile if not outright laughter. Rich's laughter and self-effacing ways will be missed, but like many men of note, the monuments that his profession allowed him to build will stand as a constant remindered of the man who will now become a larger legend among the LeVoy's than he ever was.

We remember Rich as a warm, caring neighbor in Oak Forest. Always ready to lend a hand and always with something witty & interesting to say. We appreciated that he continued to drop by the neighborhood when he was in the area. He will truly be missed.

I remember my cousin Richard very well. He was always full of life when we met at weddings or family reunions. He reminded me so much of his father, Phil LeVoy. His passing is a loss to our family. My heartfelt condolences to his wife and children and grandchildren.

Sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of baseball, Melody Lane coffee, hay rides, dances shared with DeGregorio and Rich. I'm grateful that I had the chance to know Rich.
