Richard Kline Obituary

Richard J. Kline, age 61, of Erie, died at UPMC Hamot Thursday, February 06, 2014. Born in Erie, December 4, 1952, he was a son of the late Pearl Leroy and Gertrude Mary (Allen) Kline.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the war in Vietnam. He was most recently employed at PSB industries. He enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling at the Cascade Club, where he also had been a skilled chef for a several years.

Survivors include his long-time companion, Elizabeth "Betsy" Fogarty; three children, Richard J. Kline, Jr., wife Stacy, Kelly Kline, fiancé Derrick Stevens and Corey Kline, all of Erie; four siblings, Sally Steele, husband Dr. Bert Steele, of Arlington, Texas, William Kline, wife Darlene, of Erie, Deborah Diehle, husband Floyd, of Red Lion, Pa., and Christopher Kline; three grandchildren, Brandon Kline and Izabella & Derrick Stevens; his former spouse and the mother of his children, Bridget; three step-children, Trissa Marino, husband Matt, Michael J. Dudzinski, wife Lucy and Maryann Kunath, fiance Daniel McConaughey; five step-grandchildren, Ellie Marino, Zachary Dudzinski, Milne & Quinton Kunath and Kein McConaughey.

No services will be held at this time. Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 E. 38th St., is handling arrangements.
