I was a friend of Richard's during high school and college. Even though I hadn't seen him for many years, I vividly remember his keen intellect, fine sense of humor and legendary prowess as a bridge player. I extend my deepest sympathy to those whose lives Richard touched.

My deepest sympathy. Richard and I went to Bryn Mawr and South Shore High School together. Last week we celebrated our 50th reunion of the 8th grade graduation class of 1954 of Bryn Mawr. Richard was in this class. He wrote in my autograph book at that time: "When you are old in a tub, think of me with each rub. Richard Halperin ('54)". Oakey
