My dad is always there for me, doing what he knows is right
Breaking up a fight, or helping someone out
He always knows what is right, day or night
He walks up to people in trouble, and helps them on the double
Donating to the poor, or going to the store to shop for my grandma
Yes, he always does what's good for everyone
He's considerate, and that's why I love him, my dad.

Rich was the kindest and gentlest of friends. We shared a lot in this life and I was so happy that he was SO happy. He has always had a part of my heart and will continue to. Christi, Claire, Richie and Jack, you are all in my prayers, and will continue to be. I am bereft.

May you find your place in heaven with those who loved you. We will miss you ! My boys loved you and you them. My dear sister Christy be strong and remember tears are 'liquid prayer'.... We all love you and the boys and think about you every day .HUGE hugs, Laurie ,Robert and Jordan

I just heard about this unbelievable sad news. We grew up around the corner from the entire family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Entire Golz Family, I'm so sorry about the loss of Richard. I worked for Catherine and Richard and Berkshire Mortgage and he was such a kind man to work for. My deepest sympathy go out to the entire Golz family especially Christi, Claire and his sons.

Dad I love you past heaven.

Words can not be exressed on how truly sorry we feel for all of you. To lose the love of your life of almost 30 years and your sons best friend is unimaginable. He was a kind and special man. A man who made sure family was the most important thing and it showed whenever he spent time with his boys. We will be here whenever you need comforting and a shoulder to cry on. My heart is breaking for your family. I know how strong each of you are but the human heart can only deal with just so much loss. Richie's legacy will live on through his loving family and friends. I will forever carry in my heart the memory of my best friend Richie. Once again, my condolences and prayers go out to the entire Golz family. Richard was truly unique and unforgettable. His sense of humor and outlook on life will be remembered for a long time.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

My heart is heavy for my dear and loving friend Christi and her beloved boys Richie and Jack. Richard was a great neighbor for so many years who quietly would always be there if you ever needed him. I so enjoyed watching him interact with his boys always swinging a golf club with them, teaching them, playing catch, on snow days when his driveway was being plowed he would always run out and ask them to pile up the snow in the front of their home so the boys could make their famous forts and always racing off to drive the boys some where. It wasn't hard to see how much he adored and loved his family. I can not imagine how they must feel at his sudden passing and no words will ever be able to express on how bad we all feel. Take comfort in knowing Richard will always love you and will always remain in your heart. Christi, my loving friend, I am here for you and I feel your pain. I love you all.

My heart goes out to the Golz family. Richard was a wonderful person and helped me tremendously.

To the entire Golz Family my deepest sympathy and prayers for your loss. I knew Richard as a golfing friend years ago but never forgot him, he truly was a great family man and friend. I will keep the family in my prayers here in Ireland.
