I was honored to work with Dr. Dickerman in the early 1980's as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at CSU. I will never forget his keen intellect, boundless energy and enthusiasm, his infinite kindness and patience, and his wonderful sense of humor. Dr. Dickerman was a much-loved and well-respected mentor who will never be forgotten.

I was a student of Dr. Dickerman at Cleveland State, about 1969. I thoroughly enjoyed his Genetics class and lab, and learned to appreciate Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies). He was an excellent instructor, always friendly and with a good sense of humor. I offer my condolences to his loved ones.
