Richard Berggren Obituary

In the sacred reflections of this virtual memorial, I am deeply pained that Jennifer´s Father Richard and Mother Nancy could not be here to entrust me with their daughter's hand in marriage. As the future husband of their treasured daughter, I solemnly vow to uphold our bond with unyielding love and steadfast integrity, honoring the legacy and trust that both Richard and Jennifer´s dearly departed mother bequeathed unto us.

In the embrace of this solemn moment, I humbly pray that God dispatches His Angels and Archangels to shield us, guiding our journey to not only prosper in health but to also flourish under the luminous grace of God's eternal Light.

Dearest Jenny,
I didn´t know that your dad passed away until I just saw it come up on my phone. I am so sorry Jenny. I , of course, knew your dad through your mom. We would always bump into each other at the grocery store and we would always talk about being teachers and our experiences at CPS. Your father was a good man. Your mom always talked about him with such love. You´ve had so many devastating losses Jenny. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Thinking of you.

I knew Mr. Berggren's late wife, Nancy from NorthPark University. Nancy spoke often of her husband, Richard with loving words. My condolences to the family and friends.

I am pretty sure I knew Richard. If he is the same Richard who convalesced at Symphony of Evanston back in early 2018. There was a gentleman there by the name of Richard who was cheerful and gregarious, kind and very smart. He talked a lot about his daughter, always with pride and love. He talked about his time spent teaching, and I knew from the way he talked that he was a good teacher. He flirted (for want of a better word) with my 98-year-old mom. Or maybe it was she who flirted with him. If this is the same man, and I do think it is, I am so very sorry for your loss. The world has lost a gentle soul and a remarkable man. I’m glad we got to know him if only a little bit.
