Rev. Paul F. DeVires, 71, of Crete, Illinois, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and Chaplain with Rest Haven Christian Services, passed away at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, on Saturday, July 1, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 5, 2000, 2-9 p.m., at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 East 162nd Street (Illinois Route 6/159th Street), South Holland, Illinois. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 6, 10 a.m., at Thorncreek Reformed Church, 1875 East 170th Street, South Holland, officiated by the Rev. Michael Pitsenberger. Interment will be at Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, Illinois.
