Reed McTague Obituary

Reed Gappmayer “Mac” Mctague, 77, of Cross Junction, Virginia, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. McTague was born, June 25, 1928, in Orem, Utah, the son of the late Crowley and Ella Gappmayer McTague. Mr. McTague was a Food Service Manager for the United State Army retiring on January 1, 1968, and later worked, for ten years, with Government Services, Inc. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester, Virginia. Mr. McTague was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the United States Army and achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class.

Mr. McTague married Carolyn Swope on February 28, 1964, in Dugway, Utah.

Surviving with his wife, is his son, Merrill McTague, and his daughter, Reeda McTague, both of Redmond, Washington; two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. His daughter, Martha McTague, two sisters, and one brother, preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association, 39 South Gate Court, Suite 102, Harrisonburg, Virginia, 22801.
