Rebecca Cox Obituary

DUBLIN, Ga. - Services for Rebecca Mallory Cox, 40, of Denver, N.C., formerly of Dublin, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Marie Baptist Church in Dublin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jay Stuckey and Jimmy Cox will officiate. Mrs. Cox was born in Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late Bill Mallory and the late Rebecca Wyatt Mallory. She graduated from Dublin High School in 1988, and was a graduate of Georgia College and State University, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She was a member of Marie Baptist Church and a homemaker. Rebecca was a beloved wife, mother and sister. She enjoyed reading, photography, sewing and Bible study. She especially loved throwing parties for her young daughter and decorating the affairs with her hand-made crafts. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010. Survivors include her husband, Robert M. "Bobby" Cox Jr. of Denver, N.C.; a daughter, Olivia Louise Cox of Denver, N.C.; brothers, Kenneth Mallory, Billy (Anita) Mallory; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and Chad Payne; nephews, Josh Mallory, Wyatt and Walker Payne; a great-niece, Mackenzie Mallory; mother-in-law, Mary Jane (Tommy) Byrum; and father-in-law, Robert M. (Sandra) Cox Sr. The family received friends Tuesday evening at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Please visit www.townsendfuneralhome.com to sign the online memorial register.
