I was so sorry to hear about Ray's passing. As Howard's youngest brother, he was always special to me. Now he is with Howard and the rest of the family. My deepest sympathy is with Nina and all the children, and with George, I know they will all miss him.

I am very sorry that I did not make the funeral of my dear Uncle and my godfather, Ray. I have been at a bit of a loss for words in regard to his passing as this loss has been very profound to me personally. My heart is with Aunt Nina and all of their children and grandchildren.

Uncle Ray Wood was the epitome of a man who assumed all of the burdens that life had to offer him, and yet he exhibited a personal and spiritual balance with a smile and a kind word for all.
