My Dad..My true friend

GOD saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes I watched and knew, you were going to pass away. Although I loved you dearly I could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the best.

You may have thought I didn't see,
Or that I hadn't heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,
But I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we'd grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,
It's written on my heart.
