My deepest sympathies to the Hutchison family. Although it's been some 30+ years since we were friends at Farnsworth and Taft Schools, I can honestly say he was trully one of the nicest guys I have ever met. My memories of playing baseball, basketball and football together will last forever.

Mama & Papa Hutch, Bradley & Greer,
Our lives were blessed because of the special part that Ray played in it for so many years. He was wonderful, kind, hilarious, and always made us smile. He always knew what to say. His calls always made you chuckle. His love for his children was oh so apparent in all he did. His wit was special. He touched the lives of so many and will be missed by countless number of people. I was blessed to have him as my close friend, pseudo brother and the kids already miss their uncle Ray. He will now be our angle in the outfield at Wrigley Field. He will forever remain in our hearts.

Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison,

I just want you to know what wonderful parents you were to Ray, and it showed in his "lively" and friendly personality. I will always cherish the fun times spent with Ray and both of you. He was like a brother to me. I will keep Ray and you in my prayers.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison,

I hadn't seen Ray much since our days at Farnsworth, until last summer when we spent a wonderful evening with many of our classmates. Ray was always so warm and friendly and I am so grateful I had the chance to spend some more time with him.

To Ray's family, my sincerest condolences. I saw Ray recently at a Farnsworth reunion and didn't think he would remember me, but to my delight he did and immediately made me feel like a long lost friend. We only spent a short time together but I will always remember his warmth, humor, and kind heart.

Words cannot express how heavy my heart is for all of you. I enjoyed your dad's friendly greetings, and know that he loves you very much. You have an angel watching over you now. Make him proud, be all you can be. I believe in you both too.

Ray, It was great playing baseball with You (actually against) at Norwood Park all through the 70's. Having reconnected with You years later was even more fun, and I certainly won't forget all our back and forth baseball trivia questions while talking at Collettis. Your genuine kindness, caring and decency towards all those around You made it an added blessing to know You. Heavan's Baseball Team just got a whole lot better. Sincerely, Frankie Cale

Aunt Bunny and Uncle Ray

I was saddened to have missed Ray at our recent reunion and devastated by the news of his passing the other night. He was my very first friend and you both were always like a second family for me. I have always cherished the memories of the times our families spent together. I know how special each of you were to my parents. I will never forget Ray’s smile and unflappable presence. My prayers are with you and Ray’s children.
