Raul Terrazas Obituary

Terrazas, Jr., Raul 'Chief'

of Chicago's South Side, rode his Harley into eternal life on January 31st, 2021. He was 71 years young. He is preceded in death by his father, Raul Sr and his in-laws, Guadalupe and Anita Lozano.

He laughed often and loved his family fiercely. He was known by many names: Mijo, Babe, Dad, Papa, Grandpa, Uncle, Friend, and Chief. He is survived by his loving wife Liz, his mother Burnie, his daughters Dorsie, Vanessa, Stefanie, and Tiffany, his sons Rudy and Johnny, and his grandchildren, Rudy, Vincent, Matthew, Gabriel, Damien, Adam, Mia Bella, Genesis, Dominic, Eve, Chris, and Josh. He is further survived by his Siblings, many Nieces, Nephews, Great-Grandchildren, Friends, and Compadres.

Raul was born on August 14th, 1949 to Raul Sr. and Brunhilda (Fonseca). He grew up in Chicago and Bolingbrook, one of 6 siblings, Patricia, Julie, Carlo, Mike, and Mando. He was a member of the Bolingbrook Teen club and helped organize many events. He later moved back to Chicago and worked in Chicago's Meat Packing industry delivering loads of meat to various Chicago locations until his retirement. Raul was an avid Harley biker and loved to ride. He joined the Mixtecas Motorcycle Club in the late 80s and served as one of their first Presidents. He absolutely loved dressing up every year as Santa and delivering presents to children during the Toys for Tots rides. He later met his beloved Liz and they married on a Halloween day. Raul touched so many hearts and will be missed by so many.

Visitation services are Friday, Feb 5th from 5pm to 8pm at Cordero Funeral Home, 1822 S Ashland Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred. Due to COVID restrictions for the State, only 25 people are allowed in the funeral home at one time. All guests must wear masks at all times.

A Celebration of Raul's life and scattering of his ashes will be held later this year.
