One morning about 42 years ago as I'm sitting in my car waiting for Randy to come bouncing down the stairs and he jumps in the car ..Says "Mom made us cookies"..Cool !!!! Whats in the big bag hanging in the back..he asks…Picture day ????..Gotcha covered… "Different ties though you know Larry said we'd look like two "Goofballs".. Memories…keeps our Love strong and hearts full of happiness…that is what Randy has blessed me with…another "Mom"…lots of extra brothers and sisters...along with some of the funniest--goofiest-- loving-stories in this world…So Randy give Mom a call and see whats for dinner…Jan and Dennis remember that one???? worked every time…. get em laced up we got next…….Love You Randy

Although I didn't know Randy too well I have been inspired by his legacy of a loving Father and the reaction of Friends and Family to his passing...I can only assume that this Guy was one heck of a Nice Person and the few times that I did spend with Him seem to back that up ! God Bless You Randy, enjoy your New Home

Melody, your father was a very kind-hearted person. Everytime my husband looks up on the mirror of our dresser, he looks at his picture, and I can see some sadness in his face. He will always be in our hearts forever.

You may very well not know me, but I wanted to let you all know what kind of person Randy was, back in 1972 when Randy was a senior, I was just a sophmore, I got picked on almost everyday and did not have many friends.
While in the school gym when I was there playing basketball, Randy would stop, put down his books and would take me on in a little one on one!
He did this even if he was on the way to a class, he would see me and stop and shoot hoops with me on many occasions.
He didn't know me, however he always took the time to stop and give me some of his time.
I have never forgotten that, and I am very saddened upon hearing his death.
But I want you all to know whether son, daughter, wife, Randy was a kind-hearted soul!
So I send you my condolences, and I say "Thank you Randy, for your time!"
"If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane,
We would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye
You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why
Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow
What is meant to lose you, no one will ever know!"

I'm so sorry for your loss. You may not remember me, but I was Kelly's childhood best friend. When I saw the posts on Facebook my heart just sank and I knew I just had to say something. I remember what a great guy Randy was. He always had a smile on his face, loved to laugh, and a kind heart. He will deeply missed.

Uncle Randy,
I still can not believe you are gone. There will be an emptiness in my heart for you always. I can't believe I will never hear you play the guitar again, or watch you play with my boys. I can't believe I didn't get to say goodbye. I know you wouldn't have been able to say goodbye, but I just wish I could have told you one last time how much I love you. I love you so much. I will miss your laugh and your silly smiles. I will miss the way you were so incredibly loud when you tried to be quiet. I will miss you having to pretend to start the snowblower while I shoveled all the snow. I will miss everything about you. I love you Uncle Randy!!!!!
