Ralph Osen Obituary

Osen, Ralph Thornton Age 82, of Golden Valley, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 25, 2006. Ralph has gone to heaven to join his precious grandson, Christian Olaf Osen. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of over 60 years, Marion Bakken Osen; his daughter and son-in-law, Chery and Gene Knaeble and their children, Emily and Adam; and his son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Osen, and their son, Anders. Ralph was a 1941 graduate of Central High School in Minneapolis. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the University of Minnesota as a Mechanical Engineer. Ralph retired from Honeywell after a 35 year career as a design engineer which included numerous patents. He enjoyed a wonderful life with Marion, which included many tours around the world. Ralph shared a great love for the cabin retreat with Marion, his children, their spouses and his grandchildren for over 43 years. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, at 11 am at Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley, 7520 Golden Valley Road. A reception follows the service at the church.
