Phoebe Peterson Obituary
Phoebe Turley Peterson was born December 17, 1920 in Woodruff, Arizona to Hyrum and Pearl (Sevey) Turley. She was their 12th and last child to be born. Phoebe was married June 2, 1937 to Brigham Young "Pete" Peterson Jr. and recently celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary together. Her husband "Pete" preceded her in death. They are survived by their eight children and their spouses; Alan (Wilma), Lynette (Lanny Crockett), Carwin (Sue), Michael (Andria), Gary (Sherri), Deanna, Denise (Jeff Bean), Duane (Robin), 53 Grandchildren, 128 Great-grandchildren and 17 Great-great-grandchildren. Phoebe was a marvelous mother and homemaker. She and her husband worked in the Mesa LDS Temple as ordinance workers and served a mission to St. George, Utah. There will be a Visitation from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2611 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ 85282. The Funeral Service will be at 12Noon on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the LDS Stake Center located at 10305 E. Southern, Mesa, AZ 85209 which is just East of Crismon and just North of the Superstition Freeway. There will also be a viewing Friday morning from 10:30am to 11:30am, with a family gathering and prayer at about 11:35am. The Interment will take place at 1:00pm, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Johns Westside Cemetery in St. Johns, AZ.
