Papagiannopoulos, Peter age 88, resident of Elmhurst, beloved husband of Maria (nee Javaras), loving father of Soteria, Steven (Aspasia) and George, proud grandfather of Peter, Dimitri, Tasso and Bill, fond brother of Helen (the late Kosta) Marinis. Visitation Monday, 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Trisagion service at 5 p.m., at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Rd., (½ mile North of Saint Charles Rd.), Elmhurst. Friends and family will meet for a funeral service Tuesday, 11:30 a.m., at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 S. Central, Chicago. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1801 Meyers Rd., Ste. 100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, 60181.
