Latsoudis, Penelope age 93, (nee Papagouridou), beloved wife of the late Gust, loving mother of John (Valerie nee Stamas), fond aunt of many nieces and nephews and other extended family living here and in Greece. Visitation Friday, 4 to 9 p.m., at Hills Funeral Home, 10201 S. Roberts Rd., Palos Hills. Family and friends are requested to meet Saturday morning for Visitation from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service 10 a.m., at St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 S. Roberts Rd., Palos Hills, IL, 60465. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to above church appreciated. Info: 708-598-5880

I am so sad to here of your mom's passing. We have all had too many people in our lives leave us these last few years. I know your mom, Grandma Letsos, Mrs. Boves and my mom are looking down on all of us and keeping us in their prayers. May her memory be eternal.

John and Val,
I was sad that the reason you called was because your Mother passed away. As we grew up she was like my own mother, always expressing care and concern for me and my family. I can still picture you and I walking back from Rainbow Beach to the store and seeing them smiling at us. Steve, Aimee and I were so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. There are no words to describe the loss of a parent especially about someone who touched so many lives.
Your mother was blessed to have you and Val in her life -- an incredible and memorable journey. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her and had the priviledge of knowing her.
