Now I have a guardian angel that I can say I know by name. When I close my eyes to think of him, it's like he never went away.
I love my Daddy very much, I can hardly wait for us to meet again.

Paul Leyva has been "a mover and a shaker" for many years in several veterans organizations. We are most familiar with his involvement in the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association.
Paul (with the capable support and assistance of his wife, Esther) contributed an enormous amount of time, energy and talent (in addition to their personal funds) to our organization. If it hadn't been for Paul, our Chapter of the KWVA would not have thrived and grown to become the active, effective organization as it now exists.
We are all indebted to Paul. The many awards and commendations that he has received reflect only a small amount of all the many good things that he has accomplished in his lifetime. Paul served our country bravely and competently during the Korean War. His patriotism since that time has been boundless. His leadership abilities were profound. Paul led by energetic, enthusiastic example. He can never be replaced but he has shown us the way to carry on in his footsteps.
We love you, Paul, and we thank you. We know that God now has a truly great soldier with Him.

I have only known you for 12 years. We met through the Korean War Veterans chapter that you started and loved. You inspired all of us by your devotion to all things veteran.
