It was fortuitous that I would go to college with his Paul's David, and then visit Chicago for the first time as the Hansfields' guests after my freshman year of college. One morning during breakfast he showed me a deposition he was reading from. I would go onto Northwestern Law, have lunch with Mr. Hansfield from time to time, and he and Mrs. Hansfield were at my law school graduation. I thank Mr. Hansfield for not only being a great dad and husband (as Dave and Amy have been dear to us for decades), but for giving me a vision of being a lawyer and welcoming me in Chicago. Rest in peace.
