My deepest condolences to the Caporale family on the loss of Paulie. My name is Charles Willard and Paulie, Jimmy and I attended Jefferson Elementary School together.
I have fond memories of the family grocery store on Taylor. I remember first tasting real Italian Ice there. On the last night the store was open I saw a news item on T.V. about it. I got in my car and drove over and Paulie and I talked and drank Pepsi for a while.
Paulie was always a class act even when we were kids.
Sorry to hear Jimmy is gone also. I lost touch with him after he joined the force.
I live in Florida now and news sometimes gets to me late. I would have stood up and been counted as present had I known.
