Patrick Ruffner Obituary

Ruffner, Patrick J. age 70, a long time resident of Palatine. Visitation Tuesday, May 6, 2008, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, Prayers 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 7th, to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 465 N. Benton St., Palatine, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment private. Patrick had worked for Northwest Community Hospital for more than 20 years, and was a very active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, where he participated in several of the churches ministries. Survivors include his children, Diane Mattocks and Colleen O'Brien and Patrick K. (Joanne) Ruffner, grandchildren, Jamie, Melanie and Kristin Mattocks, Derek O'Brien and Maddie Ruffner, brother, Michael (Charlene) Ruffner, sister, Katie Ruffner, also surviving three nephews and two nieces. Preceded in death by his parents, Clair "Red" and Agnes Ruffner, also three brothers and two nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for the American Cancer Society.
