Patrick Kanakes Obituary

We grew up a block from each other and went to the same grade school. I had my first date and kiss with him; in 3rd grade and he kissed me on the top of my head. I have many memories of him. I've known of his passing for awhile now but I'm still heartbroken. I will never forget him.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of Ricky. I worked with him on the beer truck many years ago. I hadn't talked to him in a while but he was the kind of guy you never forget.

I met Ricky on June 14, 1997.

I attended a graduation party with John at Kim & Ricky's home and met John's family for the first time. Whenever I was at their home I always felt welcome. Years later I was at another party and was surprised by the fact that Kim's family kept talking about this man named Pat right in front of Ricky. Little did I know that Ricky and Pat are one and the same. Ricky shared the same birthday as my brother Danny, April 22nd. Since Danny's passing I have always planted a tree or flowers in his memory because April 22nd is Earth Day. This year I will be planting and thinking of Patrick ("Ricky") also. My deepest symapthy to all of you-Family, Friends, Coworkers, etc. What a great loss for us all.

My parents Bob and Gerri Zielinski were cousins to Marianne, when we were younger we lived close to each other and saw each other on a regular basis. We always had a great time together as kids.
