Peggy, Dan, Nora and Maureen:
First, let me say how very sorry I am for your loss. I’m also sorry that I couldn't be there today to offer my condolences in person.
I know that you will have heard from many people by now, what a wonderful man Pat was. He truly was one of those rare individuals about whom no one would ever say an unkind word. I can’t think of anyone I know who gave so freely of himself and loved his family and friends so openly. I don’t remember ever being in his presence without getting a huge Pat Duhig hug and knowing in my bones that every bit of the warmth and affection was absolutely sincere. It was a wonderful gift to have known him.
I pray that in time your memories of him and the stories you will be hearing from his many friends about how much he meant to them and was loved by them will be a source of comfort to you.
With deepest sympathy,
Dave Mesewicz

I always remembered Mr. Duhig as one of the nicest men I ever met, always an upbeat positive influence to our family. To Mrs Duhig and the 'kids'... May God bring you peace in a time of loss, and rest assured he is with all of the other great folks up there. Be proud and thankful for the time you shared here. My heartfelt sympathies to your families.

Peggy and Family - deepest sympathy on your loss. Pat was one of the "good guys" you meet along the road of life. I had the pleasure to work with Pat for nearly a year and have very fond memories of his humor and integrity and love for life especially his family. I learned much about life from him. He loved you all so much. I will miss him.

My sincere condolences to the Duhig and Maher families. I have vivid memories of Pat riding his bike and delivering prescriptions for the drug store on 54th & Halsted, and learing later that he became a pharmacist. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
