Dearest Elm,
My dear Elm, just know that God is cradling Pat in his arms and gently touching her dear and eternally beautiful face. Her angelic spirit now is with Jim and they're probably already playing a rousing game of craps or poker. Our three puppies are there with them as are our two beautiful kitties, Piggo and Sailor, and your past puppies, and dear Dave Feldman, too. You've entered your own private hell and only you can get to the other side.
In time it gets easier, but all those happy memories will keep you going: Talk about her, celebrate those living times, even the tiny moments, for you lived the lives that few others can ever know.
If there's anything I can do, let me know. But soon, in the spring perhaps or sooner, please let's go out and have dinner together. Or lunch. I'll come your way.
Love and embraces always, Edie

Dear Elmer, Carole called me here in Florida where Mom and I are visiting my brother, to tell me of your wife, Pat's passing. I send my prayers, sympathy and concern to you and yours....Phil has kept in touch with me and had told me of Pat's illness.
Though Pat's physical "light" has been extinquished on earth-a new brilliant angel glow of Pat sparkles now in Heaven, where she can continue to watch over you. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. I always remember your friendship and wise advice when Carole and I'd be working in the Hawthorne press box. Take care Elmer. My thoughts are with you. Lynn

Accept my sympathy in the passing of your loved one. Pat and I worked together at Goers and I enjoyed knowing her. She was a very sweet and kind person.
Sincerely,
Joan Dambrauskas
