Patricia Hughes Obituary
Patricia E. Hughes, age 65, of Oshkosh, died Friday February 1, 2013 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center from complications of her Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was born on February 19, 1947 in Merrill, WI the daughter of Norman and LuEllen Utech Ritter. On June 30, 1978 she married Dan Hughes in Oshkosh.
She loved her pets, gardening, knitting, sewing, crochet, spending time with her grandchildren and touring the country with Dan in their travel trailer. She was a loving mother and grandmother who also provided care for more than 50 foster babies from birth to adoption.
She is survived by her husband Dan, three children, Marge (Todd Engelmeyer) Miller; Michael Whitman, Martina (Steve) LaMore all of Oshkosh, three brothers William (Sarah) Ritter of Merrill, Richard (Diana) Ritter of Pewaukee, Peter (Dian) Ritter of Doha, Qutar, three grandchildren Carly (Tim) McNeil, Breeanna LaMore, Dalton LaMore, one great-grandchild Isabelle McNeil and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Rheumatoid Research Foundation, 2200 Lake Blvd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30319.
Patricia's family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 5th floor at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center who provided such expert and loving care.
