Patricia Boyd Obituary

So very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a very fine person. Pat and I attended weekday morning mass at St. Barnabas for many years. It was wonderful to share the spirit and joy of those services with her. She will be missed by all.

Pat Boyd was one of the bright lights in the neighborhood. She always made you feel like she was genuinely thrilled to see you when you bumped into her going about life's errands. She was smart,beautiful, full of goodness and fun!

Patricia had a smile that would win anyone's heart! And a contagious beautiful personality, How could you not listen to whatever she had to say. The Boyd family is in our prayers

I have so many memories of Mrs. Boyd. As a kid when my mom would visit her, I just remember running around the house and there were so many rooms to hide in. Her daughters babysat us, and I babysat a few times for grandchildren. Over the years, I loved seeing her drive down the driveway, wave and say hello with an infectious smile. She was truly one of a kind. Over the past few years my son has got to enjoy sledding down her front lawn, and I love that she would look out the window and just smile and wave. She will be missed...❤

Our lives are filled with memories. For all the Boyds, embrace the past that was filled with laughter and camaraderie. Your mother was a triumph of spirit. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Boyd and her family provided me a home away from home. She was always extremely kind and giving; I remember to this day the sense of peace I always felt when I entered the house. I was not surprised to read about the multitude of descendants because people who are raised in the arms of that kind of love want to engender the same. My heart goes out to all the members of the family. And my thanks go out to them as well for the lasting impact they had on my youthful development. May you all feel peace in the days ahead.

To know Pat is to love her. She was a "Universal Mother" open and c caring. She would wisely counsel neighborhood mothers whenever asked with warmth and wisdom.
We had the delight of sharing a couples retreat with Pat and Bill years ago at Bellarmine Retreat House in Barrington, Il. They were models of devotion and fun.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Mrs. Boyd. She always had a smile, kind words. And her collection of hats was 2nd to none.
Most of all, from a very young age I remember her welcoming me into her home. She made every kid who walked through her door feel special. Feel as if you were her favorite ( I still think I was). Well looking back , she was the special one.
She will be missed by many. At this time the Boyd family will find out just how many lives she has touched.
Thank you Mrs. Boyd for your kindness and leading by example. There is a special place in heaven waiting for you.

Mrs. Boyd and her husband lived on the same block as my parents and we will always remember her volunteering and devotion to our community.
