Oliver Davis Obituary

Davis Sr., Oliver was the seventh son born to Winchester Sr. and Vivian Davis on May 18, 1943 in Greenville, Mississippi. Oliver was baptized at Sacred Heart Church and attended Sacred Heart School in Greenville, Mississippi. Oliver moved to Chicago and opened the Delta Fish Market. He later invented means to transport live fish to Chicago. The delta also served as a neighborhood showcase for the musical talent of Oliver as well as others. Oliver departed this life on January 29, 2007 and leaves to mourn his passing his sons Oliver Davis Jr. (Sylvia) and Derrick Davis and their mother Ann Davis Burrell, his father Winchester Davis Sr., his brothers Winchester (Christine) Davis Jr., Edward (Mary) Davis, Henry (Beatrice) Davis, Jack Davis, his sister Vivian (Jimmie) Davis Giles, his cousins Willistine (Hosea) Spates, Peggy (Luther) Renfroe, Donald Day (Carol), Bill Day (Shirley), Sammie Parish, his aunt Thelma Day, sisters-in-law Jacquelyn Davis, Queen E.
