Dear Aline,

I am sure you do not remember me, however, I remember you, well! Many, many years ago you moved away and the day you told me you were moving was a very difficult day for me. When I saw your moms name in the obituaries, I knew that I had to contact you.

My name was Mari-Ann Deutch. We were in grade school together up until the day you moved. I remember being in your apartment with your mom in the kitchen when you told me you were leaving...I was devistated. I had often thought about you and where you were

and when I saw the name I just had to write. I remember how much I liked your mom. I vaguely remember that she had a slight accent, correct?

Well obviously, this was 1,000 years ago, but I have learned not put things off, therefore, even if you don't remember me, I wanted to let you know that I was reminded of you and your mom with very fond memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. No matter what their age, Losing our parents always leaves an emptyness in our lives.

I hope that life has treated you well.

I remain a very old friend,
