The Reverend Dale C. Nelson

Here it is the one year anniversary of Norman's departure from us. How this 90 year old geezer-friend of his misses his regular phone calls. We need your good vote here in November, Norm, for this 2024 election. I know you always voted correctly!

I was Norm and his family's pastor for 17 years but I have known Norm for many years after that and he has remained one of my best friends. We have skied, cruised, and chatted together over the years and shared many laughs. He will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him.

My sympathy goes out to his family. He was a Union and rights activist! He organized many college units in his time as President of CCCTU! And elevated and encouraged many college staff members to continue the Union legacy! And he will be missed.

Mrs. Eva Strobeck shared Norm's union work and passing with us. Appreciate very deeply my Wilbur Wright College and Northeastern Illinois University instructors and understand how difficult it is for them to receive the compensation that they deserve.
Prayers and condolences.
Thank you.

I was so glad to see Norm at a Daley College retiree luncheon a few years ago and to have that opportunity to thank him again for his incredible tenure as president of the Cook County College Teachers Union. I let him know again, as so many of us retirees have done so in the past, that he was the person most responsible for us teachers being able to do our job with dignity and respect and being able to enjoy retirement. My condolences to Norm's family. Errol Magidson
