Norma Hamlett Obituary
CLAREMONT, N.C. - Norma Jane Dalton Hamlett, 69, of 3347 Hamlett Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004 at her residence.
Born Jan. 8, 1935, in Franklin Co., Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter Rorer Dalton and the late Claudia Jane Wallace Dalton.
She was a pioneer and member of Light House Ministries and Bright Light Tabernacle, minister's wife and member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Reidsville.
She was married to the Rev. Billy Hamlett.
In addition to her husband, of the residence, she is survived by two sons, Mack Hamlett of Claremont and the Rev. Jessie Hamlett II of Newton, N.C.; five daughters, Charlene Thomas of Newton, Darlene Woodruff, Deborah Lethcoc and Cheryl Wilson, all of Claremont and Dee Mercer of Hickory, N.C.; two brothers, Thomas Dalton of Roanoke and Jerry Dalton of Rocky Mt., Va.; one sister, Bernice Jones of Rocky Mt.; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Light House Ministries in Claremont with the Rev. Garland Faw and the Rev. Robert Appling officiating. Interment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Light House Ministries in Claremont.

Burke Mortuary of Newton is in charge of arrangements.
