August 15, 2014

The Retired Teachers Association of Chicago and the Chicago Retired Teachers Aid Fund extend their sincere condolences to the family, friends, and former colleagues of Dr. Nina F. Jones, whose transition from her earthly life to her eternal life is being celebrated at this time.
Dr. Jones was a role model for women and African-Americans as she completed her education and progressed through her 44 year long career in the Chicago public schools where she inspired her students and colleagues.
Dr. Jones' exemplary career focused upon providing our city's youth with the foundation they needed to become self-actualized and productive members of our community. Her dedication and commitment to our profession enabled her to ascend to positions never previously occupied by women or African-Americans. May Dr. Jones' outstanding accomplishments in the classroom, the principalship, and the superintendency remain as a shining beacon of light for her personal and professional families.
Sincerely,
Marcella L. Morrison,
RTAC/CRTAF President
