Dear Dad,

You have been the best dad that a daughter could ever have had, the kind some kids could only dream of ever having. If every child in the world could have had a dad like you there would never be such a phrase as "dead beat dad", it just wouldn't even exist. You were always there to support me and when the world seemed against me you would be there to rescue if I needed you to be, but of course I was usually stubborn and kept most of my secret demons to myself. I regret that now. You always understood the little crazy things I did, (did I say little, sorry BIG) when others didn't have a clue to what I was all about but you did. I feel so lucky to have had you as a father, actually honered. I wish I would have spent more time with you when you were so sick I hated to see you suffer so much. I will regret it until the day that I leave this world and I can only hope that I can become such a loving and caring person as you were so that I will someday see you again. There will not be a day that goes by that Dan and I will not miss you. Please forgive me dad, I will LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Dear Dad:

It's your daughter Lisa. I miss you so much. I new that someday I would have to say goodbye, but I never realized how hard it would be, or how much it would hurt. You were the world to me. Now I have to figure out how to get along in it , without you. No one could ever replace you...see you when I see you..Love, Lisa

My one and only UNCLE NICKY:

I remember since I was a kid just how much you made me smile. Watching you coach your baseball games I had alot of fun. St Richards carnivals..we would always wind up at your house. You and my dad getting drunk disagreeing on everything. I would love when you and my dad would get together cause I knew I would just laugh my butt off. Remember the classic "Mel Simpson" and "Danny Glubber" from Lepal Wepon" you and my dad would always get names mixed up it was so funny. When I was a little older I remember me and my dad would argue, well who do you think I would call for support "UNCLE NICKY" you were always there for me. "Come over here and stay a while" you would tell me. You were like my 2nd dad. When you got sick I got scared I didn't know what to do and I never wanted to see you that way it was very hard for me because you were always so happy all the time. I didn't want to see you in that way.I am sorry that I wasn't there for you that night, something I will regret forever. But I know you know how much I love you and thats all that matters. Well I will let you go now because I am sure I'm interrupting you and my brother watching a baseball game drinking and having a great time with the rest of the family that's with you now.I know you and my brother are happy now and that makes me feel good.

You will be in my heart forever

Love your neice,

"Linda Lou"

Nick, I am forty years old now with four kids of my own and neighbors often wonder how we can handle having all sorts of kids at my house all the time. They cant remember your home because they were never there, I can and I am sure other people can too. Thanks for always welcoming me and every other misfit kid into your home. Thanks for teaching me a little bit about being an adult who would always give a kid a fair shake.
