Nicholas Janes Obituary
Janes Sr., Nicholas Marion age 87, longtime Roseland and Country Club Hills resident, recently of Beecher and Steger, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2009. Loving husband for 60 years of the late Rose M. (nee Lamazzi), loving father of Barbara (Raymond) Snow and Nicholas Jr. (Karen), devoted grandfather of Rae Ellen (Anthony) Coriell, Jennifer (Sal) Tinajero, Dr. Anthony (Amanda) Snow, M.D., Shannon (David) De St. Jean, Nicole Janes Esq. and Stacey Janes, proud great-grandfather of Hunter Rose, Nikko and Anthony Raymond Coriell, Salvador, Vincent and Grace Tinajero, Madeline and Lucca Snow and McKenna De St. Jean, brother of the late Vincent, Joseph and Raymond. Resting at Panozzo Bros Funeral Home, 530 W. 14 St. (US Rt. 30, three blocks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, May 27th, 10:45 a.m. to St. Liborius Church, Steger, Mass 11:30 a.m. Burial Holy Sepulchre. Retired employee of Ford Torrance Ave. Assembly Plant, 32 years of service. Past president of Local 551 of UAW, co-founder and past chairman of Chicago Auto Employees Credit Union. Veteran of the US Army in WWII and Korea. Past Commander of Chesterfield VFW Post 6336. Life member of Hometown VFW Post 9773. 25 year employee of Illinois Drilling Corp, retired in 2001. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice of Calumet Area, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN 46321 appreciated. Info 708-481-9230.

Dear Barb and Nicky and all family,
My prayers are with all of you as you say good-bye to Nick. He and Rose and all of you have made me feel so much a part of your family for so many, many years. I will remember Nick with his ever present smile and offer of a little 'shot'. He was such a gentleman.
