Nicholas Bua Obituary

Bua, Hon. Nicholas J. Retired, loving husband of Camille (nee Scordato), dearest father of Lisa (Scott) Krinch, beloved grandfather of Scott and Nicole, fond brother of Joseph (the late Marie), Angela and the late Theresa, brother-in-law of Mary Bennett, Rose (the late Michael) Paradise and the late Joseph (Wilma) Scordato, uncle of many nieces and nephews. He served honorably in WWII as a member of the Infantry, he later completed his G.E.D. and then attended college on a scholarship for disabled veterans; He received his law degree after four years of higher education; he was elected as Village Court Judge in 1963, one month later he became an Associate Judge for the Cook County Circuit Court; In 1976 he was elected a Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court and in 1977 President Jimmy Carter appointed him to the position of Judge of the U.S. District Court of the Northern District; After 14 years he retired from public service and returned to private practice. Funeral Monday, 9 a.m. from Salerno's Galewood Chapels, Ralph Massey Funeral Director, 1857 N. Harlem Ave., to Sacred Heart Church, Melrose Park, Mass 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
