Your kind wishes and wonderful memories are a great help to our family at this time. Words cannot express the deep loss that we all feel (as I cry yet again). Dad will be missed by lots and lots of people, most of all family. My mother, sister and I as well as extended family. Thank goodness that we were lucky enough to know him for whatever length of time that we did.
Thanks again for all the warm thoughts at this time.

My best wishes go out to Tanni and the Strain Family.
It has been several years since I'd spoken to or seen Ned. I followed his career and health issues through mutual friends.
Not a summer has gone by since the early 80's that I don't fondly recall my times spent with Ned aboard Short Notice II. I've missed those days so much. There are way too many stories and laughs to recall at this time. I am so happy Ned took me under his wing and taught me to sail.
I only wished I had saved the pink messages slips from my secretary that contained the urgent messages from Ned requesting that I make an appointment on Short Notice. He was a great captain. I wish I could crew for him again.
Ned,I'm sure you're enjoying smooth seas, nice breezes and great jazz. You were one of the great ones.
