Nancy Baker Obituary

Baker Nancy G. Baker, 68, of Ann Arbor, Mich., died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010. She was the second of four children born to John Campbell Goode and Grace Jones Goode on Dec. 20, 1941. Survivors include a sister, Jane Carter of Virginia Beach; nieces, Stacey Goode of Virginia Beach and Donna Goode of Riverside, Calif.; great-niece, Aja Goode; stepchildren, Joann Baker-Gomez and James Baker Jr.; step-grandchildren, Marshall and Amanda Baker; great-granddaughter, MiKayla Coats; a very dear aunt, Mrs. Ethel Smith of Abingdon; and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Baker Sr., brother, Donald Goode, and stepdaughter, Claudia Baker. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 850 Red Oak Road, Ann Arbor, Mich. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association in honor of Nancy Goode Baker. Nie Funeral Home, Ann Arbor, Mich., was in charge of arrangements.
