Irving Silverman, devoted mother of Robert (Noreen) Silverman and Wayne (Laura) Silverman, loving sister of Martin (Ellen) Friend, adored aunt of David (Nancy) Friend, Richard Friend, and the late Janet (nee Friend) Berman, proud grandmother of Ethan and Isaac Silverman, Jason and Amber Lawson, dear great-aunt of Sam and Molly Friend, and Jake and Eliot Berman, caring stepmother of Paul (Nancy) Heller, Allan Kartun, and Gail (Lewis) Segal, cherished grandmother of Emily and Michael Heller, Amanda and Leah Kartun, Carl (Tracy) Segal and Jonathan (Kirsten) Segal, fond great-grandmother of Benjamin, Lucile, Matthew and Jacob. Will be missed by many life long friends. Funeral ceremony, Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Solel, 1301 Clavey Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035. Interment Shalom. Dear Noreen, Robert and Ethan,
Although the passing of a loved one is traumatic and unbelievable, all of you have special memories of being with Muriel. We didn't know her, but the love for and from this woman will remain in your hearts forever.

I remember Muriel and Irv from my very earliest days. They were really part of my family. She was a lovely lady who will always have a special place within me.
