Mitzi Trout Obituary

Trout, Mitzi Carole President of Meridian Graphics Inc., 333 N. Michigan Ave., daughter of the late Elbert and Elizabeth (nee Lemke) Trout, loving niece of Gertrude Anderson of Downers Grove, friend of Toddy Ruona. 25 year business partner and cherished friend of Midge Peran. After working at State Farm, Regensteiner Printing and Aldine Publishing, where she help produce award winning books, she started her own company. In 1975 computerization was just being accepted over hot metal by the design field. She distinguished herself by becoming one of the first women to open a computerized typesetting business in what had traditionally been a male profession. Her outstanding command of the English language and her meticulous approach to each job was the driving force behind the company's success and led to ``word of mouth'', expansion that brought work from across the country along with design awards from within the industry. Her devotion to her work and her love of classical music was only surpassed by her gentle compassionate and considerate spirit and her love of animals.
