I just heard of Mr. O'Bannon death. I send my deepest condolences to the family and love ones. I was in Mr. O'Bannon Civivs class in 1961 at Englewood H.S. My fondest memory was the debate on the Civil War.

I just now heard of Mitchell's passing. Condolences and prayers to your family and loved ones, Mr. O'Bannon...your smile and laugh still live with me to this day.

Thanks for giving me the "F" I earned in Civivs, when I was s a stuck up arrogant student, with popularity gone to my head. It really woke me up in the nick of time. You are loved, respected and remembered with great fondness by all of us at Engelwood because you were honest and stuck to your principles. Thank God for teachers like you and there were many at Englewood.

Mr. O'Bannon - one of the best - I knew he cared about us. Englewood High School - class of '61'

Mr. O'Bannon was an assistant principal while I attended Morgan Park High School in the 70's. In 1974 he was the faculty chaperone to the annual school trip to Spain and Africa. I was a sophomore and had the time of my life. He was watchful yet allowed us freedom. Later, he employed me to clean the parkay floors in his home (on my hands and knees). He was a great man and brilliant educator. My prayers are with his family and former students.

To the O'Bannon Family:
Mr. O'Bannon was the Assistant Principal of Morgan Park High School in the 70's. I had the pleasure to work in the Attendance Office with Mr. O'Bannon and saw a kind man who only wanted the best for your future. I will always remember his smile and how proud he was of his son and daughter.
My deepest sympathy to the family. Mr. O'Bannon was truly a remarkable man who will be missed.

To The O'Bannon Family:
Mr. O'Bannon was my history teacher at Englewood High School in the 60's. He was a very formidable teacher, took no excuses, and ran a tight ship. Outside of the classroom, he embraced all of his students, and you could see and feel his love and concern for our future. I will always remember his smile and his determination to make his students educational achievers.

Odessa - So sorry to hear about Mitch. My dad passed on Junne 14th. It's funny I have been thinking of him often lately and wondering why he hasn't called me since he used to give me a call every now and then. Take care and you and your family are in our thoughts at this time. Linda and Ken Wagner

I will always cherish your gentle yet firm persona, and your words of encouragement. I have adopted the "license game" as my own and play while in the car.

Your Grandson and Granddaughter
