Birch, Mitchell H. age 90, WWII Army Vet. Beloved husband of the late Loretta (nee Bartkowiak), loving father of Ronald M., Diane B. (Thomas Ret. CPD) Hennigan, Karen A. (fiance Paul Rasmussen) and Susan M. (William) Kuntzman, cherished grandfather of Thomas and Ryan Hennigan, devoted brother of Irene (Frank) Szafraniec and the late Bruno (Carrie) Brzezinski, dear brother-in-law of Dolores (Joseph) Janik, also many fond nieces, Visitation Thursday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Modell Funeral Home, 12641 W. 143rd St. Homer Glken, Lying in state Friday, at Holy Name Cathedral, 730 N. Wabash Ave., From 9 a.m. until time of mass 10:30 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Garden Mausoleum. Donations to Alzheimer Foundation would be preferred. 708-301-3595.

Dear Sue & Family,
As the years have passed - I still think of your friendship and your family as neighbors. Your father, as well as, your mom were very nice to me. The memories I carry with me have lasted a lifetime.
