Miriam J. Rosenbusch passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Susi Rosenbusch, and her younger brother, Larry Rosenbusch. She is survived by her cousins in South Africa and Italy, her sister-in-law, Pamela Powell Rosenbusch of Evanston, and many dear friends who cherished her kindness, generosity, and warmth. A proud graduate of South Shore High School and Roosevelt University. Miriam earned a degree in elementary education and dedicated her career to teaching within the Chicago Public School System. Her passion for education and her love for children left a lasting impact on countless young lives and inspired all who knew her. Throughout her life, Miriam lived in South Shore, Hyde Park, and northern Chicago before settling in Evanston. She was an accomplished knitter and quilter, finding joy in her creative pursuits. Miriam also gave selflessly to her community, volunteering for many years at the Evanston Public Library. After she retired she continued helping young children and adults read and write. A service to honor Miriam's life will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 12 noon at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Private interment at Hillside.
