Alex, Miriam (nee Goldstein), age 85. Beloved wife of the late Harold, devoted mother of David (Ilene) Alex, Diane (Perry) Simms and Doris (Joseph) Schyman, loving nana of Michelle (Derek) Bandler, Adina (David) Adler, Michael (Loren) Schyman, Jacob Simms, Megan (Geoffrey) Geltner and Samuel Alex; proud great-grandmother of Abby Schyman, fond sister of the late Arthur (the late Georgene) Gilbert. Mrs. Alex was a member of the Jewish War Veterans, the Women's Army Corps Auxiliary, and a life member of Hadassah and Brandeis Women's Board. Services Friday, 10 a.m. at The Piser Chapel, 9200 Skokie Blvd. Interment Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Info. 847-679-4740.
